The intersection of ancestral tradition and high-fashion innovation is coming to Colorado this winter. On Saturday, January 17, 2026, the First Peoples Fashion Show (FPFS) will make its debut at the Estes Park Conference Center. The event serves as a focal point of the broader First Peoples Festival, a weekend-long celebration of Indigenous art, music, and tradition.
A Platform for Storytelling
The FPFS is organized by an all-Indigenous collective of artists and storytellers focused on empowering artisans through the medium of high fashion. Rather than viewing fashion as mere apparel, the show frames the runway as a site for storytelling, where every design reflects the resilience and unique aesthetics of communities from across the continent.
The lineup features a diverse range of Native designers, including:

Event Experience and Festival Details
The fashion show will be complemented by music, dance, and storytelling to offer a deeper understanding of the cultural significance woven into each garment. The event also features an opening reception and designer booths, where guests can purchase unique designs and jewelry directly from the artisans.
The show is an integral part of the First Peoples Festival, a weekend-long celebration held from January 17–18, 2026, at the Estes Park Events Complex. Additional festival activities include an Indigenous Art Market, educational demonstrations, a competition powwow, and a film symposium.
